Alexis Eke is a Toronto based illustrator and designer. Her work centers around illustrating black women in a contemporary light, combining styles and elements from traditional Japanese art and renaissance portrait paintings. From realistic digital portraits to fun comic-like illustrations, people have always been able to relate and resonate with each piece.

Her portfolio is a mix of commercial illustration, editorial, apparel, and typography design. She loves to apply her unique design style to many surfaces and mediums, with a special interest in environmental and fashion design.

Alexis Eke is currently studying for her Bachelors of Design at York University and Sheridan College. Her work has been recognized by publications such as Afropunk, Massappeal & CBC. Her clients include the AGO, CBC, Nike Jordan, Palm Bay Spritz, Soulection – among others.
